Chelsea advanced to the fifth round of the League Cup after defeat Bolton four goals without reply. All the goals were shared equally Salomon Kalou, Florent Malouda, Deco, and Didier Drogba.

Chelsea opened the scoring in minute 15. This goal came from collaboration between Deco, Paulo Ferreira, who then completed with the header from Salomon Kalou.
