  • Algeria 0-1 Slovenia: Koren lucky-strike

    Slovenia picking 1-0 victory over Algeria in the Peter Mokaba Stadium in Polokwane on Sunday (13/06/2010). A mere puppet goals scored by Robert Koren, after an Algerian players were expelled from the field.

    Koren broke the deadlock and boredom games after his kick from outside the penalty box can not be caught goalkeeper Faouzi Chaouchi. Similar blunder by Robert Green of England, when playing against the United States 1-1 last night.

    Six minutes before Koren scored, Algeria lose one player. Abdelkader Ghezzal new entrants in the 57th minute, hit two yellow cards within 14 minutes.



    This victory makes Slovenia lead Group C with a value of 3. This is also the first victory of Slovenia in international tournaments. Previously, they lost four and drawn two times from six matches.
