  • Aston Villa 2-1 Burnley: Downing super-strike

    Two Premier League club, Aston Villa and West Ham United, stepped into the fifth round of the Carling Cup. But they drove after being forced to play through extra time.

    At Villa Park Stadium on Wednesday (7/10/2010) , the host Villa entertain Championship club, Burnley. 1-1 draw for 90 minutes, Villa finally drove after winning 2-1 in 120 minutes.

    Match Villa vs Burnley continued to deadlock in the first half and most of the second half. New 86-minute deadlock was resolved when Villa scored first.

    Emile Heskey is a successful break Burnley goalkeeper with a shot from close range after receiving a perfect cross from Ashley Young.

    But the victory is in sight Villa dispersed in minute 89. Ross Wallace's free kick was met with Clarke Carlisle's header to make the position so 1-1.



    Score 1-1 last up to 90 minutes and forced extra time. It only took six minutes after the extension of time for Villa to get back ahead.

    Villa goals were scored by Stewart Downing with a fantastic way. Driblling ball from the right wing, Downing poked towards the penalty box with Burnley and kick your left leg so he changed the position 2-1.

    Three minutes later, Villa was forced to play with 10 men after Marc Albrighton sent off. Albrighton was the last person in the Villa defense and offense to Wade Elliott rewarded very decent red card.

    West Ham Stoke Overcome
    From Upton Park Stadium, host West Ham's 3-1 win over Stoke City, also through extra time. In the normal time of 90 minutes, both teams drew 1-1.

    Superior first Stoke goal by Kenwyne Jones in the sixth minute, but West Ham back and reverse the goal by Scott Parker scores 84 minutes, Manuel Da Costa's goal in 96th minute and Victor Obinna scored at minute 118.
