  • Arsenal 3-1 Chelsea: Song, Walcott great-finish, Ivanovic great-header

    Arsenal picked convincing victory with a score of 3-1 as host Chelsea in the Premier League continued. Three points from the fight take the Gunners back into posoisi two standings.

    Compete at the Emirates Stadium on Monday (7/12/2010) , Arsenal appear more dominant. Pressure by the pressure that they have embarked since the beginning of a new game to fruition on 43 minutes through Alex Song.

    Host other two goals came from Cesc Fabregas and Theo Walcott in minutes 51 and 53. While a single goal replies the Blues created from header Branislav Ivanovic (57).

    This victory led 'The Gunner' return to the position of two of the standings with 35 points collected, together with Manchester City despite Arsenal on goal difference. Arsene Wenger protege left two points above Manchester United in the top spot and still have one game remaining than them.

    Key moments of the game
    # 7' Koscielny with a ball in for Song, he lofts a superb pass into the box AND VAN PERSIE GETS AWAY FROM THE DEFENDERS BUT MISSES THE BALL! He was in, somehow onside as he ghosted clear of Terry and Ivanovic but he took his eye off the ball and missed the volley!
    # 8' Drogba on the move, he has Kalou to his right but just bounds into a huge gap left by Koscielny and Djourou and drills a fizzing low drive past the diving Fabianski but inches wide!
    # 9' Cesc wide to Sagna WHO HAMMERS OVER A WICKED CROSS BUT OVER WALCOTT'S HEAD AND BEYOND VAN PERSIE! Oooh, that was begging for Chamakh's spiky head to connect with.
    # 17' Arsenal have a free-kick thanks to a clumsy challenge from Malouda, 35 yards out slightly to the right. Van Persie swings it into the box and it's a great delivery and DJOUROU FLIES IN but he and Terry miss it and the ball bounces wide. He thinks Terry pushed him and he probably did but impossible to see in the melee.
    # 21' Van Persie likes to drift and he's wide right now, meaning only little Theo is there to aim at. He exchanges passes with Sagna and Malouda seems to trip him but the ref waves it away! That looked like a trip in the box.
    # 22' If it was a foul it was just outside the area in the end, but either way Arsenal have a free-kick 25 yards out on the left... Nasri shoots but Cech gets across to claim.
    # 26' Walcott gets in down the right, he has pace to burn against Terry but the winger miscontrols when it matters and Terry gets goalside of him, Cech claiming. Poor from Theo, he was in there.
    # 35' A sweet passing move sees Cesc slid Van Persie in on the left side of the box, a brilliantly-checked run from him but he hammers it wildly over at the finish! The angle was tight but he could have moved inside.
    # 40' Super double save from Cech after Walcott somehow kept the ball in and beat Cole with a backheel type move. Corner.
    # 41' Arsenal now break, Sagna crosses, Terry heads away. Back to Sagna and he lays it off for NASRI WITH A CURLER FOR THE TOP LEFT BUT A GREAT SAVE CECH! He uses his massive frame to get the ball over for a corner.
    # 44' (GOAL) ARSENAL SCORE! SONG! Super move starting with Nasri, back to Song who plays a one-two with Wilshere that only reaches him because Cesc is brought down for what would have been a penalty. Song rifles it past Cech, 1-0. The ball from Wilshere was a delight.
    # 51' (GOAL) TWO NIL! Fabregas with the tap-in after Walcott races clear and cuts it past the stranded Cech, Essien accidentally putting him in after Van Persie put pressure on Terry and Ivanovic.
    # 53' (GOAL) THREE NIL! Walcott! Brilliant! Chelsea give it away in midfield and a glorious dinked pass from Fabregas releases Walcott who has pace to burn and steadies himself before lashing a beautiful finish into the bottom right from just inside the box. Game, set and match.
    # 57' (GOAL) CHELSEA SCORE! 3-1! Back in it and from a set piece, Drogba's superb dipping ball in catches Fabianski in no-man's land and Ivanovic powers the header in.
    # 68' Chelsea have a free-kick but Arsenal break as Fabregas slides in, Kakuta has lost the flight of the ball AND NASRI IS IN but his flick over Cech is not high enough and the keeper stretches out a massive arm to claim!
    # 80' Wilshere with lovely feet to play Diaby in, and he ghosts away from Terry and must score but he won't use his left, moves onto his right and Lampard flies back to block!
    # 90+1 CHELSEA HAVE IT IN THE BACK OF THE NET! But Kalou is offside after a free-kick causes havoc in the Arsenal box, Drogba's initial one cleared but the Ivorian smacking it back in to cause a ricochet. FOUR minutes added time.
    # 90+4 ROSICKY AGAINST THE POST! But the flag is up. Breathtaking counter from Arsenal but the Czech midfielder fails to hold his run.
