  • Barcelona 5-0 Real Betis: Messi great hat-trick

    Barcelona reap a landslide victory over Real Betis 5-0 at the party's first leg of the Copa del Rey quarterfinals. In the game-winning FIFA's 2010 Ballon d'Or Lionel Messi made a hat-trick.

    Entertaining Betis at the Nou Camp on Wednesday (2/01/2011) , the new Barca able to lead 1-0 when the game will enter the time of the break through Messi goals.

    In the middle of the second half, Messi in action again to add the host advantage on 62 minutes. Receiving the ball from David Villa, Messi's first attempt can still be defeated Espinosa Barriga Casto, but not with the second.

    Messi perfected his hat-trick when the game entered the 73rd minute. After receiving the pass breakthrough Xavi, Messi calmly sent the ball past the goalkeeper with a defender trying to shadow the opponent.



    Three minutes later Pedro Barca complete victory. Dani Alves become creators of this goal after receiving the pass Xavi and send feedback ripe for Pedro.

    Scores increased again at 83 minutes, this time through the use of Seydou Keita cross from Andres Iniesta. Score 5-0 to Barca.

    With such a landslide victory, Barca had the upper hand to qualify for the semi-final second leg although there is still to be lived in the compound Betis later.
