  • Birmingham 2-3 Bolton: Elmander, Philips superb-strike, Lee header

    Bolton Wanderers beat Birmingham City 3-2 in the sixth round of the FA Cup. The Trotters are determined victory goal by Lee Chung Yong header, scored in the final three minutes.

    Playing at home to Birmingham, St Andrews Stadium on Saturday (3/12/2011), Bolton's first winning goal by Johan Elmander created at minute 21.

    This goal stems from the kick goalkeeper Jussi Jaaskelainen, who then headed Ivan Klasnic. Elmander escaped the off-side trap and successfully netted the goal keeper Ben Foster.



    Birmingham managed to push the score finished 1-1 in minute 38. Jerome's goal originates from the failure of David Wheater who swept the ball low so that the ball fell at the feet of Cameron Jerome, who easily scored.

    At minute 62, Birmingham almost turned excel. From a corner kick, created chaos in front of goal Bolton, but the goals failed to happen because Lee swept the ball at the goal line.

    Two minutes later, Bolton could kick scored by Kevin Davies. But the goal was disallowed by the referee because Davies has been charged with the off-side when receiving the ball.

    Disappointment Davies relieved when on 65 minutes Bolton got a gift penalty due to violations of Curtis Davies to him. Davies himself who is executing and goals, turned into a 2-1 score for Bolton.

    Birmingham who gave a 2-2 equalizer in the 80th minute. This goal scored by Kevin Phillips with a superb-volley as he threw himself from outside the penalty box.

    Three minutes before dispersal, Bolton managed to pick the winning goal. This goal stems from a free kick from his own territory, the ball then headlong into the direction of Lee Davies who was awake. With easy, Lee Foster gore ball into the goal and Bolton had the right to win 3-2.

    With this victory, Bolton had the right to advance to the semifinal round of the FA Cup to be held on 16 and 17 April.
