Udinese 1-2 Arsenal: Walcott great-finish, Szczesny penalty-stop
Arsenal advanced to the Champions League group round this season after win the second leg play-off Wednesday (24/8/2011), defeating the host Udinese with the score 2-1. This victory makes "The Gunners" winning 3-1 on aggregate.
Udinese had the lead through a genius header from Di Natale. Van Persie equalized through a crisis in front of goal. Udinese had won a penalty when Vermaulen handball in the penalty box, but with remarkable success Szczesny stop it. Theo Walcott scored the winning goal Gunner after winning a sprint race with Udinese defenders, and with perfect strike beat Handanovic.
The Game
Despite winning 1-0 on aggregate first, Arsenal tried to reap the full points to secure the step to the group stage. However, Robin van Persie and his friends appear to be very careful in building the attack.
The reason, Udinese have a counter-attack is quite deadly. Several times the Arsenal defense raised Thomas Vermaelen helter-skelter attack muffle Antonio Di Natale.
