Serbia 1-1 Italy: Marchisio, Ivanovic great-strike
Italy had to settle with one point when a visit to the stable Serbia. Got ahead, Gli Azzurri took home draw with the score 1-1.
Crvena Zvezda Stadium to compete in on Friday (10/07/2011) , Italy straight ahead in the second minute. Utilizing Giuseppe Rossi pass-through, Claudio Marchisio beat home team goalkeeper.
Serbia equalized in the 26th minute. Branislav Ivanovic shot was deflected by Zoran Tosic and cheat goalkeeperin Gianluigi Buffon.
In the second half, both teams alternated launch an attack. However, no additional goals are created.
These results do not change the position of Italy who have already qualified for the finals of Euro 2012. They remain firmly on top of Group C with 23 points from nine games.
While Serbia was ranked third with 15 points and still have a chance to escape through the play-offs.
