  • England 1-0 Spain: Lampard header

    England managed to beat the world champions, Spain with the score 1-0. Frank Lampard became the hero of The Three Lions with a single goal early in the second half.

    In a friendly match held at Wembley on Saturday (12/11/2011) , Spain dominated the game with ball control and aggressiveness of his attacks.

    La Furia Roja recorded a successful ball possession 71% compared with 29% owned by the British. Nevertheless, it was England who managed to bring victory after Lampard, who captained the team before being replaced Garreth Barry to make a goal in minute 48.



    The game

    At the beginning of the game runs pretty monotonous for nearly half an hour following a lack of generating meaningful opportunities for both teams.
