  • Tottenham 2-0 Aston Villa: Adebayor over-head kick

    Harry Redknapp returns to the dugout as Tottenham attempt to go third in the Premier League with a win over Aston Villa at White Hart Lane, Monday 21/11/2011.

    In fact, Immanuel Adebayor become Spurs hero with his double tally at first half, first goal with over-head kick, second with simple touch utilizing great Gareth Bale perfect cross.

    The Game

    Villa have great start, but Darren Bent failed to maximize it.
    Adebayor give Spurs lead 1-0 at 13', corner from Van der Vaart, and with superb over-head kick, Adebayor scored, a really difficult goal.

    Adebayor again put his name at scoreboard, great Bale movement from left-flank, and send dangerous cross that failed to be secured by Villa defender, and Adebayor at the right place and time, with simple touch put the ball at the back of Villa's net

    Adebayor should get his hat-trick at 50', but his finished just inches aside Shay Given right post, a great chance cause he just one on one with Aston Villa goal keeper.

    Again Adebayor just inches away beside the net, Bale provide perfect assist, but his strike perfectly missed at 57, five minutes later Adebayor scored, but Lennon already caught offside before send perfect cross to him.

    Tottenham re-created several chances in the remainder of the game. But until the long whistle sounded no goals are created.

    This 2-0 winning placed Tottenham third in the standings with 25 points. While Villa stuck in eighth position with 15 points.
