  • Viktoria Plzen 0-4 Barcelona: Messi hat-trick, Fabregas header

    Barcelona's 4-0 win over Viktoria Plzen with colored Lionel Messi hat-trick. Thanks to this result, Barca were perdelapanfinal round of qualifying for the Champions League.

    In a match that took place in the Synot Tip Arena, Tuesday (11/01/2011), Viktoria who acted as the host had a golden opportunity earlier in the 17th minute through Milan Petrzela.

    Petrzela ran alone from the middle of the field through the Barca defense. When it's residence facing one on one with Victor Valdes, he fired a shot. However, Valdes could still blow it.



    Messi finally went ahead to Barca. Action in the penalty box Viktoria make Marian Cisovsky break. Cisovsky own direct red card.

    Calmly, Messi penalty is given. Barca were 1-0 up.

    Messi scored his second in this match a few moments before the first round is completed. After working with Adriano, Messi kicks off the left foot from inside the penalty box. Viktoria's goal was to shake again.

    In the second half, Barca get through Thiago Alcantara chance in the 55th minute. Welcoming the cross Cesc Fabregas, Thiago release header straight at goalkeeper. However, Pavlik caught him deftly.

    In abandonment and distress, Viktoria did not want to give up. At minute 67, Petrzela again get a chance. He removed his right-foot shot from inside the penalty box, after receiving feedback from David Limbersky. Unfortunately for him, his shot was off.

    Two minutes later Thiago getting an opportunity that was almost a third goal Barca. Pavlik did not make move to catch header, but still hit the crossbar. Almost.

    Barca eventually enlarge the equalizer for a 3-0 Cesc Fabregas header on 71 minutes. Former Arsenal midfielder's header was directed into the top left corner after receiving feedback from Isaac Cuenca.

    Messi scored his third goal in this game in the 90th minute. Assist the continuation of Gerard Pique with a left leg kick. Barca were closed the game with 4-0 win

    With this result, Barca assured of qualifying for the knock-out phase of the Champions League. They are now collecting the value of 10 and lead the standings of Group H.

    These results also confirmed AC Milan qualify for the next phase. Milan is second with a value of 8. The position of the two parties is not likely pursued by Viktoria and BATE Borisov.
