  • AS Roma 1-1 Juventus: De Rosi, Chielini score, Totti penalty-miss

    AS Roma and Juventus had to settle for sharing a point when they met at the Olimpico. In a match that took place this exciting, Roma and Juventus drew 1-1.

    In a match that was held on Monday (12/12/2011), both teams showing the game open. Great game  attacking occurred throughout the 90 minutes of action and lots of chances created.

    Nevertheless, the goal that is created just two pieces. Roma winning first through Daniele De Rossi in the first half, Juve respond by Giorgio Chiellini in the second half.

    The draw was again lifted Juve to the top of Serie A, which stood at 30 points from 14 games. 'Old Lady' just a superior goal difference over Udinese have slipped to second place. Rome ranked ninth with 18 points.


    The game

    More Juve dominated the game since the early minutes. They had pretty much superior in the control of the ball and able to shut the home team's defense.

    But, Rome was able to steal first goal in the sixth minute. Beginning cross Francesco Totti, De Rossi managed to make this for goalkeeper Gianluigi Buffon.

    The visitors a chance to equalize three minutes later. But, as scintillating shots Claudio Marchisio successfully countered by Maarten Stekelenburg.

    Roma goalkeeper Stekelenburg saved again in the 25th minute. Dutch goalkeeper Marcelo Estigarribia block the kick hard.

    Six minutes later, Juve attempt to equalize again failed. This time, Arturo Vidal kick from outside the box is still deviated slightly.

    In the 38th minute, turn to Simone Pepe who are unable to maximize opportunities. Utilizing feedback Vidal, his left leg kick from inside the penalty box still leads right into the arms of Stekelenburg.

    Juve can be equalized in the 61st minute. Stephan Lichtsteiner bait starts from the right side, Estigarribia seeks greeted with a volley, but his shot is not perfect. The ball then bounced into the air and completed by Chiellini with a header directed.

    A minute later, Roman awarded a penalty after Vidal  breaking Erik Lamela in a restricted area. However, the execution Totti leftward successfully countered by Buffon.
