  • Newcastle 3-0 Manchester United: Ba superb-strike, Cabaye free-kick

    Newcastle United  performed brilliantly when face Manchester United at home. The Magpies won three goals without reply.

    In a match that held in the Sports Direct Arena, Wednesday (04/01/2012) , Newcastle got a goal-tally by Demba Ba, Yohan Cabaye and Phil Jones own-goal.

    With two consecutive defeats, The Red Devils are now three points behind Manchester City who topped the standings. They are 45 points from 20 matches left.

    Meanwhile Newcastle upbringing Alan Pardew now remain in seventh place with 33 points, four points clear of Chelsea in the fourth.

    The game

    In the 4th minute Newcastle almost scored. A cross from Ryan Taylor into the penalty box and Ba who are free standing in the penalty box failed to reach the ball.

    A minute after Yohan Cabaye fired a shot from outside the penalty box, but still too weak and could be arrested Anders Lindegaard.

    MU get his first chance in the 11th minute when Nani who outwit some Newcastle players, fired hard from the penalty box and can be pushed over Tim Krul. The ball rebounds immediately before Dimitar Berbatov secured Krul reach.
