Manchester United claimed victory in the Carling Cup fourth round. The Red Devils defeat Barnsley 2-0 despite playing with 10 players.

In the game at Oakwell Stadium , Tuesday (27/10/2009) , MU down competed with a number of second tier players. This includes young midfielder Gabriel Obertan newly debuted in this game.
