Manchester United grabs easy win, 0-3 over Leeds United on Carling Cup, Tuesday 20/09/2011.
All goals scored in first half, great double from Michael Owen, and Ryan Giggs superb finish at the first half injury time.
In this match Sir Alex Ferguson play rarely team line-ups, with Carrick and Valencia put on defense and Berbatov, Macheda, and Owen as attacking line-up. As note, this is Pogba first appearance on Manchester United formal game.
The Game
At Leeeds headquarters , the host started well and immediately had a golden opportunity in five minutes. Ball from a corner kick delivered by the sniper to MU's goal and another Leeds player was greeted header.
Manchester United goalkeeper Ben Amos managed to ward off the ball that just barely into the net. Two other Leeds players try to rebound, but the Chelsea back line managed to secure the area.
MU responded with a good in the 14th minute. Mame Biram Diouf sent the ball to Dimitar Berbatov, who then sent a breakthrough to Park Ji-sung. Park then sent a cross to Michael Owen who successfully sent the ball into the goal host.
Manchester United doubled their advantage on 32 minutes. From the corner is taken short, the ball then ruled that Diouf to send feedback to Owen. Again, Owen managed to maximize opportunities and make the second goal, superb goal.
In the minutes of injury time, Ryan Giggs made the score finished 3-0. From the corner is taken short, Giggs pass the ball to Park who then handed it back to Giggs, who then penetrate into the penalty box to end with a goal.
