  • Netherlands 11-0 San Marino: Van Persie four, Huntelaar double

    Dutch celebrate the goal against San Marino in a Euro 2012 qualifier. Orange team wins 11 goals without reply and Robin van Persie scored four goals.

    Host San Marino in the Philips Stadium on Friday (09/02/2011), the Dutch opened the score when the game was seven minutes. Utilizing operand Mark van Bommel, Van Persie scored his first goal.

    Until the first half ended, the Netherlands 3-0 lead. Two additional goals were created by Wesley Sneijder (12th minute) and John Heitinga (18th minute).

    In the second half, Bert van Marwijk's squad growing craze. They had scored eight goals again in this round.



    Once opened by Dirk Kuyt (49th minute), the Dutch scored consecutive goals by Klaas Jan Huntelaar (minute 56, 77), Van Persie (65 minutes, 67, 79), Sneijder (the 87th minute ), and Georginio Wijnaldum (90th minute).

    With this result, the Dutch are still firmly on top of Group E standings with a perfect 21 points thanks to victories in seven of the party. While San Marino at the bottom of the standings with zero points.
