Bulgaria 0-3 England: Rooney double, Cahill scored
England won a landslide victory when they travel to the headquarters of Bulgaria. Wayne Rooney's two goals plus one back Gary Cahill led the Three Lions won 3-0.
Vassil Levski Stadium to compete in on Friday (02/09/2011), the visitors opened the scoring in the 13th minute. Cahill, who pushed forward found the net close-range shot past Bulgaria.
Eight minutes later, Rooney doubled the lead from Britain. Header from Stewart Downing corner forward lodged in the top corner Nikolay Mihaylov.
Rooney scored his second goal in first half injury time. Manchester United striker is without difficulty to complete a horizontal Ashley Young's cross from the right side.
With this victory, England more firmly on top of Group G with 14 points from six games. While Bulgaria was fourth with five points and almost certainly eliminated.
