  • Manchester City 3-1 Newcastle: Balotelli, Aguero penalty, Richard cool-finish

    Newcastle United positive trend stalled in the hands of Manchester City. City managed to give the first defeat for the Magpies after winning with a score of 3-1 is final.

    City entertain Newcastle at Etihad Stadium on Saturday (11/19/2011). Despite not playing flagship player, David Silva in the first half but The Citizens still manages to look good.

    Mario Balotelli opened the scoring in minute 41 with a penalty after Ryan Taylor handsball. Three minutes later, turns Micah Richards who listed his name on the scoreboard.

    In the second half, the City added advantage back through a penalty which successfully executed Sergio Aguero on 72 minutes. Newcastle scored consolation goal through substitute Dan Gosling on 89 minutes.

    With this victory, the City is still undefeated and still firmly on top with the acquisition of 34 points from 12 games. Meanwhile, Newcastle did not flinch in the top three with 25 points.




    The game

    City gets first chance in the seventh minute. Receiving feedback from the rear, Micah Richards received the ball on the right side of the box to do the crossing into the face of goal where there is Mario Balotelli. But the ball had driven Newcastle defender.

    Pressure City continues to flow into the Newcastle defense. Of the operand Yaya Toure, Sergio Aguero left foot kick hard but still soar above the crossbar Tim Krul.

    Attack the home team again foundered. Richards, who directed a header into Balotelli can be driven by the Newcastle defender.

    Balotelli! A wasted again. From the right side of the field, James Milner cross off accurately and was greeted by Balotelli header. The ball bounced of the crossbar Krul thin.

    Newcastle launched a counterattack. Ben Arfa puncture in the forbidden box, see Demba Ba. Ba in a good position to kick off towards the far post, but Joe Hart could still able to save it.

    Ba get another chance thanks to Danny Simpson crossing. However, his header was wide of the goal guarded by Hart.

    City finally scored fruitful efforts. Ryan Taylor following a handball in the penalty box. Balotelli forward as executor and coolly sent the ball into the bottom left corner of the Newcastle goal.

    City added advantage a minute before the normal time of the first half ended. This time the goalkeeper Krul burglarized by Richards after cooperating slick one-two with Samir Nasri.

    In the second half, Newcastle tried to catch up. Unfortunately, Ben Arfa leveled kick the ball still hit the post.

    City then responded by Aguero. Argentine striker stabbed Newcastle defense and almost cheated the ball downward Krul, but Krul managed to catch the ball at the second attempt.

    City is now increasingly far left guests. Aguero penalty made the score now 3-0. Referee awarded a penalty after Ben Arfa violations against Richards.

    Though far superior, the City did not loosen his attacks. But even successfully struck the Newcastle goal back through substitute Dan Gosling.
