  • Burnley 1-1 Bolton Wanderers: Taylor's superb free-kick

Burnley added to Bolton's relegation worries as they came from a goal down to draw 1-1 at Turf Moor.

The draw leaves Bolton languishing in the relegation zone, albeit still only two points away from safety, with only one win in their last nine games.

Burnley should really have made it three points as they dominated the second half but just failed to find winner.

Bolton made the breakthrough in the 29th minute through Matt Taylor's superb free-kick but failed to hold on to their lead.

Burnley hit back with a vengeance in the second half with Kevin MacDonald crunching a shot onto the underside of the bar within five minutes of the re-start.

Steven Fletcher also had a great chance to get the hosts back on level terms but it was man-of-the-match David Nugent who got equalised with the simplest of headers.

The excellent Wade Elliott put up an inch-perfect cross from the right wing before Nugent headed it back across goal and past Jussi Jaaskelainen.

And Burnley could easily have had the win as first Chris Eagles and then Nugent again had golden chances to put their side in front.

The ball fell kindly for Eagles after an Elliott cross from the left wing had received a deflection, but the former Manchester United man could only watch as Jaaskelainen produced a fantastic blocking save before pouncing on the loose ball before Burnley could follow up.

Nugent should have had a hat-trick such was the quantity of chances he carved out for himself in the second-half.

But amidst the woeful Bolton defence, Jaaskelainen proved a solid last resort and his diving save denied Nugent in the 75th minute and he did enough in injury time to put Nugent off his stride as the man on loan from Portsmouth dragged his shot wide across goal.

Fletcher and substitute Robbie Blake also enjoyed chances for Burnley but Bolton somehow held on to restrict the hosts to just a point.
